Drinking water testing set for Monday, March 8th, 2027. 

Municipalities (public water suppliers) are regulated to test the water they provide to citizens.  Rural residents on a private well only know if their water is safe if they have tested it. Reserve a test kit by signing up here: https://forms.gle/byNjaQyhLSAt26NN9  or use the QR code to the left to be brought to the form. (To use the QR code: turn on your smart phone’s camera app and hover over the “picture” a link will pop up- click on it).  You must register with this form by February 5, 2027 to get reminders of the program.

Decatur and Spring Grove Townships (along with the Land and Water Conservation Office) will coordinate sample bottle pick up and payment the first week of March. On Monday, March 8th, 2027, all participants will sample their water and return the bottles to their sample coordinator. On April 29th there will be a free educational program where participants can learn about groundwater and how to interpret their test results.
